Location

Stowford Hill is an 18th Century stone-built property, nestled in its own little coombe on the edge of Dartmoor, between Okehampton and Tavistock. It is  just a mile and a half from Brent Tor, the site of the famous tiny church of St Michael de Rupe, the fourth smallest-and the highest- church in England, and which dates back to the 13th Century.

The historic market town of Tavistock is just 6 miles away, where there is a fabulous pannier and farmers' market. Wander across the moorland towards Okehampton, or visit the natural waterfalls at Lydford Gorge, before heading to the north Devon and north Cornwall coastline. The main A30 towards Cornwall is just 6 miles away and is accessed via the village of Lifton.  The north Cornish coast is approximately 30 miles to the northwest.

Alternativly drive south to the famous maritime port of Plymouth, 30 minutes by car, or explore the beaches, fishing ports and coastal walks of south Devon and Cornwall. The cathedral city of Exeter is just 45 minutes by car.
